A week ago I was struggling with myself and upset I went to the gym, grabbing my shoes and my towel, full of rage I had one of the most intense workout that I ever made.
In 20 minutes, after squatting a massive charge of gym plates,I was meeting my back pain injury: a wild L5 S1 hernia is appeared and attacking me rapidly.
Suddenly, I had to go home with difficulty walking and driving.
It's a week today, after visits, treatment started, and a fair amount of inflammation and pain medication taken.
Today, on sunday 13 april a friend send to me a Polaroid Ads campaign with a bitten apple, clearly referring to the Apple brand.
Two years ago Apple start to collaborate with RayBan for smartglasses
But Idk if with polaroid it will works, why?
I think Polaroid wants to have the upper hand in the snapshot market, so rather than going for film, they want to beat Lomo and Fuji with the production of cameras (smaller in the world like the GO for example)
Fuji in the film market, despite the diversity and thus the film gap, achieves higher sales due to lower prices.
People starting with instant photography do not care whether they buy polaroid or fuji, today they all see where to save money.
Only true amateurs, veterans in the branch of instant photography or craziest people like us can continue to invest in polaroid materials, because we really see the difference, although I have to admit that Fuji over the years at the level of rendering and colors is really coming up with incredible rendering, but nevertheless the posthumous interventions that can be done on a polaroid cannot be experienced with any other modern-day film.
Today with lomograph backs, the modifications you can get like itype batteries applicable to sx70s instant photography is more accessible if you invest in one of these materials first.
And for what it's worth, restoring an sx70 found from ebay, overhauling it and modifying it is not very expensive either if you have the right contacts.
Honestly, even though analog photography is having a fresh moment full of novelty and experimentation (like cameradactyl bringing out a new film and development system, if you see Ben Fraternale's videos you can check them out on YT) I think instant photography will forever remain a separate branch from it.
Sorry for this long text, I'm sick at home on sunday with my back pain injury and I'm a bit tired.
That’s only my truly opinion :)
